New York, NY - Carter Morse & Mathias was nominated for two "Deal of the Year Awards" at the 3rd Annual M&A Advisors Deal Champions Awards gala dinner, co-sponsored by ACG New York, on June 20th at the Metropolitan Club in New York City.
Selected from over 300 participating companies, CMM was nominated as a finalist for both the M&A Deal of the Year between $25 million and $50 million as well as M&A Deal of the Year - Industrial Goods & Basic Resources. Both nominations relate to Prime Materials Recovery's acquisition of Allied Metals Corporation, for which CMM provided buy-side M&A advisory services.
In November 2012, CMM's client, PMR, one of the largest non-ferrous metal processors and distributors in the United States, acquired Allied Metals a multi-generational family owned business headquartered in Florida. The strategic acquisition significantly bolstered PMR's global capabilities and will further complement its geographic reach. Nate Schilberg, President and CFO of PMR commented "CMM's expertise in analyzing, structuring and negotiating this transaction were invaluable. Their quality advice and experience with family held middle market businesses and creative problem solving were essential to successfully closing this transaction."
We would like to send our congratulations to PMR, the other transaction advisors and CMM's deal team for these nominations.
