Jeffrey Klaus is a retired regional president and commercial banking team leader in Connecticut who worked for over 35 years working in the northeast commercial banking market. Over his career, Mr. Klaus led middle-market teams which originated and managed complex commercial banking relationships. Mr. Klaus also created and led the Family Enterprise Finance team which provided senior debt financing for family offices and other equity sponsors to support their direct, actively managed PE investments.
In addition to his line of business responsibilities, Mr. Klaus served as Regional President at several banks including Berkshire Bank, Webster Bank, Bank of America, and Fleet Bank. Mr. Klaus is recognized as a long-time volunteer and community advocate having served on numerous business and not-for-profit boards with a particular focus and passion for improving urban public education outcomes. He was a founding board member of Amistad Academy charter school and served on the Advisory Board for Connecticut Coalition for Achievement Now (ConnCAN).
Currently he serves as a director for Lost in New Haven (a local history museum), and he is a past Chairman of the Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce and The New Haven Regional Leadership Council. Mr. Klaus holds a masters degree in business from the University of Connecticut and a bachelor’s degree from Rutgers College. Mr. Klaus lives with his family in New Haven.
