Terence Hannafin is a Partner at Carter Morse & Goodrich (“CMG”) and has been advising shareholders of closely held and family-owned companies for more than 15 years to help them achieve their ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ transaction. At CMG, Mr. Hannafin is responsible for leading the execution of transactions across a range of industries (with an emphasis on manufacturing, consumer products and business services) and directing business development initiatives. Prior to joining CMG, Mr. Hannafin was a Managing Director with de Visscher & Co. (a family business focused advisory and investment banking firm) and held various positions at American Express and Morgan Stanley.
Mr. Hannafin is active in leading trade associations, serving on the Board of Directors of the Exit Planning Exchange - LI (2017 – Present) and the Board of Directors of the Long Island chapter of the Alliance of Merger & Acquisition Advisors (2020 – Present).
Mr. Hannafin holds a BS in Finance from Boston College where he was a member of its NCAA Division I football team. Mr. Hannafin maintains his FINRA Series 82, 24 and 63 securities licenses with CMG’s FINRA registered broker-dealer affiliate, Carter Capital Corporation.
Mr. Hannafin resides in Connecticut with his wife and three children where he is actively involved in numerous local youth sports programs.
