SOUTHPORT, Connecticut - Carter Morse & Mathias ("CMM") is pleased to announce that Gary Mathias, a Managing Director of the firm, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Alliance of International Corporate Advisors (AICA), a global network of investment banking firms. As a founding member of AICA, CMM has seen cross-border M&A become an increasingly important part of its practice, with many international companies seeking to acquire quality middle-market companies in the U.S.

The objective of AICA is to provide origination and joint execution capability to its members around the globe. AICA has grown to 35 member firms in 25 countries. These firms focus on middle-market M&A and capital raising transactions across multiple industry specialties.

Gary Mathias said, “AICA generates significant value for our clients seeking to access buyers, investors and acquisition targets worldwide. Through AICA, we can call on over 100 senior investment bankers in Europe, Asia, Latin America, Australia and the Middle East to assist in our transaction mandates, which allow us to facilitate assignments worldwide while assuring our clients that the entire global market is covered.”

"We are pleased to welcome Gary Mathias to the Board", said Didier Choix, managing partner of DDA & Company (Paris, France) and former chairman of AICA “CMM has been an active member of AICA since its founding in 2010, and is highly regarded for its track record in closing strategic transactions and its contribution to the AICA network. As we embark on our third year, AICA continues to rely on the leadership and cooperation of outstanding members like CMM.”
