The Company was seeking to raise a fourth round of venture capital for its growth initiatives, with an objective to bring in new investors alongside its existing institutional investors.
A principal of Carter Morse & Mathias acted as the exclusive placement agent to RealNames, raising $46.5 million of growth equity, with participation from new investors Strong Capital Management, Digital Island, Emigrant Capital Corporation, Munder Capital Management, Peak Capital Investments, DWS Investments, and Dentsu.com.
