CMM expands its international reach into Russia, South America and Nordic regions with additions to its International Network
The Alliance of International Corporate Advisors (AICA), an international network of middle market investment banks which was co-founded by Carter Morse & Mathias, announced the additions of two investment banks to its network, which broadens its coverage in South America, Russia and Scandinavia.
ALPAX, an independent investment bank that provides financial advice on mergers, acquisitions and fundraising in South America, joined AICA earlier this year. While Alpax is headquartered in Miami, most projects are generated and executed through offices in Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador and Paraguay and Bolivia. Business sectors of particular interest include financial institutions, retail, food and beverage and business services (healthcare, engineering / construction / hospitality). Since its founding in 2003, ALPAX has completed more than 120 M&A and fund raising transactions totaling more than $4 billion in value.
Evli Bank Plc, is a full service investment bank founded in 1985 with clients in Russia and the Nordics. Evli Corporate Finance focuses on mid-market M&A projects primarily in Russia, Sweden and Finland and offers experience in various sectors, including retail, healthcare, services, manufacturing, energy, real estate and construction. Since 2007, the team has advised on more than 100 transactions with a combined value of over EUR 7 billion. Evli also provides wealth management, equity and derivatives brokerage, and investment research.
"Since its formation in 2010, AICA has enabled CMM to deliver a combination of global breadth and local knowledge to clients. AICA's expansion into these two new strategic markets deepens this capability at a time when cross-border M&A is becoming even more important to our privately-held, middle market clients," said Michael Carter, Managing Director of CMM.
CMM's alliance partners now represent 38 firms across Europe, Asia, Australia, the Middle East, and South America. These firms enhance CMM's ability to successfully complete a transaction including identifying potential strategic buyers, investors or sellers, assisting with due diligence, and sourcing local legal and accounting advisors.
